Each year the Ontario Environment Industry Association (ONEIA) holds a day-long session at Queen’s Park in Toronto to meet with Ministers, MPPs and senior policy people to discuss the concerns of organizations such as yours and to allow participating companies to network with each other. In addition to meetings with more than 40 MPPs and Ministers, the day will include:
- A luncheon address by the Deputy Minister of Environment, Gail Beggs, on efforts to modernize approvals at MOE
- Afternoon roundtables with senior government officials from several different ministries, where can frankly discuss current and upcoming policy initiatives and how environment firms are responding to them. This year’s topics include approvals modernization, Brownfields, air quality and climate change, green energy, water and wastewater and waste management/recycling.
- An evening reception, hosted by the Minister of Environment and featuring cabinet ministers and critics from all parties.
ONEIA members can attend all parts of the day for just $150 per person, while not-yet-members are welcome to attend the evening reception for $150. To register for the day, please visit www.eid2010.eventbrite.com or call Marjan at the ONEIA office at 416-531-7884.
