SkyPower Receives Innovative Financial Backing from Deutsche Bank

Banking on a growing solar market in Ontario– and another Liberal government win in today’s elections– Deutche Bank is providing a $67 million revolving credit facility for SkyPower. With news just breaking that McGuinty is staying on for a third term as Premier of the province, the FIT program is safe. The funds will be used to support the ongoing development of SkyPower’s portfolio of utility-scale solar projects in Ontario. Innergex Closes Stardale Solar Project Financing

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX: INE) (“Innergex” or the “Corporation”) announces today that it has closed the $117.3 million non-recourse project financing for its Stardale solar project (the “Stardale Project”), located in East-Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada.

Capstone Infrastructure and SunPower Hold Dedication Ceremony at Amherstburg Solar Park

The facility, which commenced commercial operations on June 30, 2011, is one of the largest solar power installations in Canada and is expected to produce enough green electricity annually to power approximately 4,000 homes. It was designed and built by SunPower, a world leader in solar power systems.

The plan is the most comprehensive subsidy scheme for clean energy production in North America, and the report said Ontario has signed or offered more than 21,000 contracts to developers of small, medium and large clean energy projects so far.

Largest roof mounted solar system in Canada

The 600 kilowatt installation will allow the city to generate electricity directly from the sun and contribute to the region’s electricity grid. This will create enough energy to power 100 homes.The establishment of the Kitchener Operations Facility included rehabilitating 45 acres of industrial land and upgrading a 300,000 square foot industrial building. Once complete, the facility will have room for approximately 500 city staff, vehicles and equipment, and house various municipal services including road, watermain and sewer maintenance, snow clearing, and parks and woodland services.
